"Only you can change your life, no one can do it for you"
Journey from an introvert to an orator
SELF DEVELOPMENT

"Only you can change your life, no one can do it for you"
This phrase resonates very well with my journey from an introvert to an orator.
Having lived with the tag "Dancing doll" due to fidgeting( with my toes and rocking my body to and fro for being shy and nervous to stand in front of the audience), to being an orator presenting in national to international conferences has been a challenging pathway.
This transformation started all because, one day I asked my dad " Papa, I want to participate in a mono act but am scared to do anything in front of others, what can I do?"
I remember my dad saying " I can help you mago (means daughter in tamil) but only you can perform. So let's start with your fear of the audience ".
He enrolled me in a personality development course which helped me to work on myself as an individual and appreciate my strength and areas of improvement. I am so glad I reach out for HELP on that day which changed the course of my life.
Finally, I did participate in the mono act. It didn't turn out to be so bad after all. My first shot was not a great success but it paved a path for me to venture into the " land of dramatics" .
The icing on the cake was to pass out of my 10th grade with the " outstanding performer in Dramatics" in my batch ..
So in SHORT always remember that it's absolutely good to reach for HELP to a mentor, coach, friend, family or a sponsor but the true change or transformation of your life can be done ONLY by YOU.
